Environmental policy

Hungária Pehely Kft. places great emphasis on environmental protection and the preservation of sustainability.

Our company strives to meet IKEA’s sustainability requirements.

Accordingly, we strive to improve year on year and reduce our ecological footprint.

To do this, we have taken the following steps:
  • We replaced all light sources with LED lighting.
  • We collect rubbish separately.
  • Selective collection of production waste: cardboard, foil We bought waste compactors to compact cardboard and foil.
  • We regularly measure dust and noise exposure in production.
  • Filtered drinking water is available for workers.
  • Rainwater is collected and used for irrigation.
  • We planted trees and established an apiary.
  • We installed a 65 kWh solar panel.
  • We have installed a phase corrector to eliminate the inefficient performance. This will save us a larger amount of money.
Our plans for the future:
  • We will buy all green electricity by 2030
  • We plan to install more solar panels
  • We install energy-saving motion-sensing light switches and taps in the washrooms
  • The office and production buildings will be insulated to reduce heating costs.
